I’d started painting again in 2008, before that it was maybe once every few years. What turned out to be a bit of fun became a great painting for me and a forward step.

For me painting is also about the experience, the journey, the good strokes, the wrong colours, the frustration, wanting to destroy the painting, the surprise as it comes to life and the feeling when it’s finished. I like how an original idea can and does change as the painting gains life.

My mediums of choice are acrylic, inks, gauche, markers, water colour or pencil – things that dry fast, as I get impatient.

Since August 2012, I’ve been lucky to be part of the Parramatta City Pop Up programme and have met many other talented artists and general nice folk!

Do I do commissions, yes!
